Hi SW. How was your hair curled? Was it done chemically? And is your hair loss more like shedding or do you have areas where your scalp is bare?

Ok, first make sure you don't add anymore hair-altering chemicals like relaxers or coloring to your hair. You've experienced severe chemical damage, and additional chemicals will only add to the damage you've experienced. Also try to avoid heating appliances like blow-dryers or flat irons.

Deep condition your hair with a hot oil treatment. You can find several good ones at your local beauty supply store. Just follow the instructions and make sure you continue to deep condition your hair every two weeks. This is a very important step to restoring your hair.

Use a very good moisturizing conditioner after you shampoo. I like Salon Finish Moisture Retention Conditioner (www.salonfinish.com). It will work along with your deep conditioning to restore your hair.

Consider getting your ends trimmed. This will prevent the damage from spreading further. Visit a stylist to see if trimming will help.

Use a wide-toothed comb to avoid putting addition stress on your hair. Dont' use a brush as this will add tension to your hair.

Let us know how this process works for you, and good luck!
